The Minister of Employment, Science, and Universities, Claudia Pérez Forniés, emphasized the importance of demand-driven training as a key element for business development. During her visit to Iberia Compositech Manufacturing in Calatayud, she highlighted the training program with a hiring commitment that the company is carrying out in collaboration with the Aragonese Employment Institute (INAEM).
Innovation in Training for Strategic Sectors
Iberia Compositech Manufacturing is dedicated to the design and manufacture of lightweight, high-strength components made from composite materials, aimed at sectors such as automotive, aerospace, naval, industry, and defense. The company, which currently employs 130 people, has implemented a training program with INAEM to train 20 students in the manufacturing of aerospace composite materials. This program, which has attracted 80 applicants from the region, will start at the end of February, and the company has committed to hiring at least 50% of the trained students.
Impact on Employment and Regional Development
Pérez Forniés stressed that demand-driven training is crucial to meet the needs of the business fabric and to connect local talent with companies, thus contributing to the settlement of population in rural areas. Víctor Sanz, CEO and founder of Iberia Compositech, highlighted that the company has grown significantly, increasing from 30 employees at the beginning of 2025 to 130 by the end of the same year, with projections to reach 200 employees by 2026.
Sanz emphasized that the training agreement represents «a lifeline, a support, and an opportunity to grow sustainably» in a rural environment, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the economic and social development of the region.
