Dinópolis and Its Venues Welcome Over 51,000 Visitors This Summer, Solidifying Their Appeal Beyond the Season

The Teruel-based leisure and science park dedicated to the world of dinosaurs and paleontology has received 51,542 visitors this summer, distributed between Dinópolis Teruel and its locations in different towns across the province. This marks an 8.05% decrease compared to the same period in 2024, considering that the Legendark location in Galve has not opened to the public this season due to improvements in its exhibition content. The park located in the capital attracted 43,681 people to the city of Teruel during the months of June, July, and August, a figure similar to last summer, with a slight decrease of 3.92%.

Quote from Higinia Navarro: Although this summer’s figures are slightly lower compared to 2024, the overall balance of the season is very positive. The decision to advance our opening to March 1 has been key to adapting to the growing trend of planning visits outside the summer season. More and more people are choosing to take getaways in spring and autumn, and Dinópolis has been able to respond to that demand. In addition to attracting thousands of visitors, Dinópolis positions itself as a crucial economic engine for Teruel, driving local development and scientific tourism. The park not only attracts visitors but also establishes itself as a national benchmark in paleontology, creating a significant impact in the region and contributing to scientific dissemination.

The main park will maintain its activities on weekends and public holidays until the end of the year, while its provincial locations will remain open until early November. Interested visitors can check specific details on their website and social media, which offer updated information on hours and news.

This summer, Dinópolis implemented innovative marketing strategies to consolidate its positioning as a unique paleontological park. Notably, its cinema campaign linked to the premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth developed an advertising spot with subtle references to the original saga, which was projected in cinemas across the country, attracting dinosaur enthusiasts.

The campaign included a clever Instagram giveaway that captured the attention of both regular followers and new audiences, leveraging nostalgia and passion for dinosaurs. The goal was to transform cinematic interest into a real Jurassic adventure experience at the park.

In addition to the cinema spot, Dinópolis developed a comprehensive multimedia strategy. It implemented various digital campaigns, utilizing channels such as cable television, screens in shopping malls, media specialized in family and scientific tourism, and a strong presence on social media to connect with its target audience.

This summer, visitors to the paleontological park came from all over Spain, including Ceuta and Melilla. The autonomous communities with the highest representation were Valencia (29.98%), Aragon (19.32%), and Catalonia (16.33%), with provinces like Valencia (16.74%) and Zaragoza (13.55%) leading the ranking of origins.
