Villanueva de Huerva Hosts II Ancient Music Festival with Nine Concerts in September

Villanueva de Huerva is preparing to celebrate in September the second edition of its Early Music Festival, a series that will feature nine concerts in various venues throughout the municipality, reinforcing the local commitment to bringing this historical repertoire closer to the general public.

The festival, organized with the support of the Zaragoza Provincial Council, offers a musical journey that spans from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period, featuring specialized ensembles and young performers dedicated to recovering historical instruments and techniques. The concerts will take place throughout the month in churches, municipal halls, and other locations selected for their acoustics and heritage value.

In addition to the performances, the program includes educational activities and meetings with the musicians, aimed at enhancing the understanding of the repertoire and encouraging public participation. The organizers emphasize that this second edition seeks to strengthen the festival’s identity as a space for enjoyment, learning, and community engagement.

With this series, Villanueva de Huerva reinforces its cultural offerings and joins the growing interest in early music in Aragón, providing a carefully curated and accessible program that expands the cultural options available in the region.
