The Chamber of Commerce of Zaragoza held the Dual Vocational Training Fair on November 25, an event that showcased to companies the potential opened up by the new Vocational Training Law. The event established itself as a connection point between organizations and educational institutions, demonstrating how the dual modality is gaining traction as a strategic way to attract, train, and hire qualified profiles.
The day began with the presentation Investing in Talent. Gaining Competitiveness. The Role of the Chambers of Commerce, which highlighted the role of these institutions in supporting companies to implement Dual Vocational Training programs in an agile manner and aligned with their needs.
Next, a roundtable discussion on Vocational Training in Construction: Opportunities and Challenges brought together representatives from the sector. The debate focused on the growing demand for technical professionals and the potential of Dual Vocational Training to fill a gap that affects productivity and the pace of generational renewal.
The session The Role of the Tutor in the New Vocational Training Law After One Year of Experience. Success Stories allowed tutors and educational institutions to share learnings, resources, and concrete examples of support for students during their time at the company.
In another panel, titled Connecting Talent and Business through Vocational Training, various sectors presented how the inclusion of students in the dual modality is strengthening internal processes and providing profiles ready to quickly integrate into work teams.
The presentation From Classroom to Company: How to Incorporate and Hire Talent offered practical guidelines for companies to turn Dual Vocational Training into a stable talent management tool.
Closing and Networking
The fair concluded with a networking coffee space that facilitated the exchange of contacts and exploration of future collaborations between companies and educational centers. The Chamber of Zaragoza also set up a stand for individualized consulting.
A Growing Vocational Training Sector
The event comes at a time of sustained growth for Vocational Training in Aragón. This academic year, the community registers over 28,000 enrolled students, the highest figure to date. Employment rates exceed 86 percent and reach 97 percent in intensive programs.
