The Wave 2026: Aragón Emerges as a Technological Leader

The Vice President of the Government of Aragón, Mar Vaquero, participated in Vive Tecnara, the main event of the technological cluster in the community that brings together companies, institutions, research centers, and professionals from the sector. During her speech, she previewed the details of the upcoming edition of the technological congress The Wave.

The Wave 2026: dates and ambition

Vaquero confirmed that the third edition of The Wave will be held in Zaragoza from April 14 to 16, 2026. She noted that «it will not just be a congress, it will be an event,» and stated that the event aims to showcase Aragón’s prominent place in global technological transformation.

The Vice President emphasized the volume of investment that has come to the community in the last two years, particularly in projects related to the digital sector. In her view, these figures reflect «the energy of a territory that knows the future is not expected. It is built with determination, vision, and collective ambition.»

Promotion and message

During the event, the promotional video for the new edition was premiered, which presents innovation as the engine of progress and the advances that have marked history. Vaquero highlighted that the talent present in Aragón «does not look to tomorrow, it designs it, convinced that each step forward is an opportunity to open a new common horizon.»

A consolidated event

The 2025 edition gathered 15,000 attendees and became the most attended event in the history of the Palacio de Congresos. This success solidified The Wave as the largest technological event held in Aragón and one of the most recognized in the country. For the organization, the public’s response demonstrates that the innovation born in the community has the capacity to project itself internationally.

The congress has also played a key role in fostering young talent. The 2025 hackathon brought together more than a hundred participants who faced training and competency challenges, reinforcing the Aragón ecosystem’s commitment to new technological vocations.
