Aragón Allocates 3,280,960 Euros to 106 Erasmus+ Projects for 2025

Aragón promotes Erasmus+ projects with a 20% increase in funding

The Government of Aragón continues to support Erasmus+ mobility projects as a key tool for educational excellence and European strengthening. The 2025 call of the European Union program has resulted in a notable increase in funding for the autonomous community.

Funding and selected projects

A total of 106 projects from schools and adult education centers in Aragón have been selected to receive funding. The allocated funds amount to 3,280,960 euros, representing a significant 20% increase compared to the previous academic year’s call. This increase exceeds the overall program increase, which was 17% at the European level.

In addition, five centers have obtained the Erasmus Accreditation this year, raising the total number of accredited centers in the School Education Sector and the Adult Education Sector in Aragón to 99.

Internationalization and educational benefits

The General Directorate of Educational Policy, Academic Planning and Lifelong Education of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport promotes the internationalization of educational centers in Aragón. The projects offer group and individual educational mobilities, both short and long term, for students in school education and adult education.

Academic benefits include immersion in different educational systems, improvements in teaching methods, and significant development of communication skills in various languages. The program ensures the inclusion of individuals with fewer opportunities and promotes personal, social, and lifelong learning competencies.

Teacher training and future goals

Teachers play a crucial role in internationalization, contributing to the program’s four priorities: inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, environmental protection and climate change mitigation, and participation in democratic life. During the 2025-2026 academic year, the General Directorate will continue to promote teacher training in the preparation and application for Erasmus+ projects through the mentorship project that has been implemented.
