Indra’s board of directors has approved the departure of five senior executives and the merger of its Defense and Space businesses, which will be placed under a single general management headed by Juan Ramón Hernández. The reorganization reduces the executive committee to 10 general managers reporting to Chief Executive Josep Maria Recasens.
The executives leaving the company are Manuel Ausaverri, previously head of Strategy; Manuel Escalante, head of Technology; Antonio Mora, general manager of Organization; Juan Pedro Rodríguez Veiga, general manager of International; and Miguel Ángel Panduro, general manager of Indra Space.
Integration of business units
The restructuring also brings together the Air Traffic and Mobility units under Víctor Martínez, general manager of ATM. International operations will be integrated into their respective business units, which will assume responsibility for their development.
Miguel Forteza will add Management Control and the mergers and acquisitions unit to the Finance Directorate. David Santos, previously head of Legal, has been appointed technical secretary general. Frank Torres moves from Indra Land Vehicles and the Programs Directorate to head the Operations Directorate.
Indra will also create a Directorate General for Strategy, Technology and Product. The company has launched a search process to appoint the person who will take on the role and, in the meantime, Recasens will oversee the area.
The company said the changes are part of adapting its structure to the new operating model and preparing its next strategic plan, which is scheduled to be presented on November 25. According to Indra, the reorganization is intended to simplify the structure, speed up decision-making and coordinate the different areas.
“We are building the organization we will need to bring our next strategic plan to life. We want to be a simpler, faster company with a stronger capacity to execute. Excellence will be at the heart of everything we do,” Recasens said.
