Zaragoza Celebrates European Mobility Week 2025 with Activities

Zaragoza Celebrates European Mobility Week with the Theme «Mobility for All People»

The city of Zaragoza joins the initiative of the European Commission from September 16 to 28, which aims to raise awareness about the negative consequences of excessive urban car use. The program includes round tables, family activities, an electric vehicle exhibition, and a technological hackathon.

European Mobility Week aims to educate both policymakers and citizens about the negative effects of excessive car usage in cities on public health and the environment. The initiative promotes more sustainable transport alternatives, especially public transport, cycling, and walking.

The theme chosen for 2025, «Mobility for All People», reinforces the idea that all citizens should have access to transport that is available, accessible, affordable, safe, and sustainable, regardless of income, location, gender, or abilities.

Activity Schedule

Family and Children’s Activities
On Saturday, September 20, starting at 10:00 AM, Mobility City and Plaza Lucas Miret will host educational areas on child and family road safety, with participation from the Local Police, and activities involving drones for security, fire fighting, and rescue experiences. The latter collaboration includes Fundación Ibercaja, the logistics cluster ALIA, MyHang, and the municipal firefighters.

Plaza del Pilar will become an exhibition hall for hybrid and ecological electric vehicles on Wednesday, September 24, from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, organized by the Provincial Taxi Association and the Taxi Cooperative.

The event will allow 50 participants to form multidisciplinary teams with university students, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, programmers, designers, and sustainability experts.

Participants will work on ideation, prototyping, and validation of solutions supported by expert mentors and will present their proposals to a jury composed of representatives from the public sector, companies, investors, and mobility experts.
