Fagor Ederlan Group and Duoli Technology have joined forces to create LIEDER AUTOMOTIVE SL, a new company aimed at supplying components for electric vehicles. This agreement, signed on December 16, 2025, represents a significant step in the strategic collaboration between both companies, with a view to global expansion and joint growth.
Production in Zaragoza for Leapmotor’s electric SUV
LIEDER AUTOMOTIVE will be responsible for supplying structural components for Leapmotor’s new electric SUV, model B10. Production will take place at the Figueruelas plant in Zaragoza, with the start of supplies scheduled for August 2026. This project not only strengthens both companies’ presence in the European market but also highlights the importance of Zaragoza as an automotive production center.
Economic revitalization and job creation
The economic impact of the project is significant, as it will allow the reopening of the Fagor Ederlan plant in Borja, Zaragoza, creating over 170 jobs. This revitalization responds to the needs of Leapmotor International, a joint venture between Stellantis and Leapmotor, and underscores both companies’ commitment to the economic development of the region.
Strengthening international collaboration
This is the second joint project between Fagor Ederlan and Duoli Technology, who already share a joint venture in Kunshan, China, dedicated to the manufacture of aluminum suspension components. The new company in Europe represents a step forward in their collaboration, combining Chinese technology with local knowledge to create a competitive company in the global market.
The establishment of LIEDER AUTOMOTIVE not only strengthens Fagor Ederlan’s position in the European market but also marks Duoli Technology’s first venture into Europe, expanding its global presence. This strategic move allows Fagor Ederlan to access new Chinese clients in Europe and relaunch its automotive component assembly business, adapting to the industry’s transformation towards electrification and sustainability.
