The Government of Aragón has announced its collaboration with La Vuelta 26, one of the premier international cycling competitions, to enhance the food and tourism promotion of the region. The partnership, which will take place from August 22 to September 13, aims to highlight the quality of Aragonese products and the beauty of its landscapes, with a special focus on the arrival at the Aramón Valdelinares ski resort in Teruel during stage 7.
Strategic Collaboration for Promoting Aragón
The presentation of this collaboration took place on Thursday, where the Government of Aragón emphasized the dual objective of the initiative: to boost food and tourism promotion. The General Director of Innovation and Food Promotion, Amparo Cuéllar, along with the General Director of Tourism and Hospitality, María Nogueras, and the General Director of La Vuelta, Javier Guillén, underscored the opportunity this event represents for projecting Aragón’s image at both national and international levels.
Throughout the 21 stages of La Vuelta, Aragón Alimentos and Tourism of Aragón will have a unique platform to showcase the region’s richness, linking its image to sports and gastronomy. Professional cyclist Fernando Escartín was also present, reinforcing the connection between cycling and the Aragonese territory.
Aragón Alimentos, Quality and Tradition in Cycling
Aragón Alimentos will participate as the official supplier of La Vuelta 26, carrying the slogan “Aragón, true flavor” throughout the route. This collaboration aims not only to highlight the quality and diversity of Aragonese products but also to associate the brand with a major event. Amparo Cuéllar emphasized that this is an opportunity to showcase the effort behind each product, from producers to agro-food industries.
Javier Guillén added that the integration of Aragón Alimentos into La Vuelta strengthens the creation of partnerships that benefit both the stakeholders and the regions, using each stage as a platform to highlight the quality of the products and the landscapes of Aragón.
Valdelinares, the Epicenter of Mountain Tourism
The arrival at Valdelinares during stage seven will be a key moment for the tourism promotion of Aragón. María Nogueras explained that the goal is to showcase to the world the potential of Aragón as a mountain and nature destination, particularly highlighting the Turolense landscape. La Vuelta is seen as an ideal platform to attract visitors interested in cycle tourism and outdoor experiences.
Nogueras emphasized that the event aims not only to increase tourism but also to promote a sustainable model that boosts the rural environment and positions Aragón as an authentic and quality destination.
The alliance of the Government of Aragón with La Vuelta 26 represents a comprehensive strategy to promote both agro-food quality and the tourist appeal of the region. With significant media reach, this collaboration is expected to enhance Aragón’s image internationally, associating it with quality, sports, and sustainable rural development.
