Graus is set to celebrate the 35th Longaniza Festival on July 25, an event that promises to be historic thanks to its candidacy for National Tourist Interest Festival and the introduction of significant new elements. Among these is the participation of the team from «El Campo es Nuestro» as Honorary Taster and the cooking of longaniza on the world’s largest grill.
Innovations and Key Figures at the Longaniza Festival
The Longaniza Festival in Graus, taking place on Saturday, July 25, features several innovations this year that enhance its appeal. The candidacy for National Tourist Interest Festival is a key milestone, seeking national recognition. Additionally, the presence of the team from the program «El Campo es Nuestro» as Honorary Taster and the introduction of the first Child Taster mark a new chapter in the event’s history.
The activities on July 25 will kick off at 5:00 PM with the sausage stuffing of the longaniza on Calle Barranco. At 7:00 PM, the measurement of the longaniza will take place, followed by the announcement of the Tasters and the presentation of the «Bronze Grill» at 7:30 PM. Cooking on the giant grill will commence at 8:00 PM, culminating in a free public tasting at 8:45 PM.
Start of the Festivities and Media Coverage
Friday, July 24 will serve as the inaugural day, starting at 7:00 PM in Plaza Mayor with the opening of Longaniza Fest by Michelin-starred chef Carmelo Bosque. This day will feature a gastronomic showcase of tapas and a festive atmosphere to mark the beginning of the celebrations.
The organization has set up an accreditation system for journalists, facilitating coverage of the event.
