Cariñena celebrates its first Photographic Rally linked to wine culture
The City Council of Cariñena is organizing the I Photographic Rally Cariñena Reveals Itself on Sunday, November 9, as part of the activities celebrating the town as the European City of Wine 2025. The initiative invites amateur and professional photographers over the age of 18 to capture images that reflect Cariñena’s connection to wine culture.
The rally is open to all interested individuals over 18 years old. Participants can register for free through the form available on the City Council of Cariñena website. A total of 550 euros in prizes will be awarded across two categories: photography taken with a camera and with a mobile phone.
The central theme of the rally is Cariñena and the culture of wine. Each participant can freely interpret this theme from a documentary, landscape, or creative perspective to reflect the identity, traditions, landscapes, and winemaking essence of Cariñena.
The day’s schedule will follow this outline: participants are to check in at 8:20 AM at Plaza España to collect their accreditation and suggested itinerary. They will have three and a half hours—from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM—to take photographs. By 1:30 PM, they must select and submit one photograph.
The jury will evaluate the images based on visual narrative, technique, composition, and originality. The winners will be announced that same afternoon at 5:30 PM.
In the camera photography category, a first prize of 300 euros and a second prize of 150 euros will be awarded. In the mobile photography category, a single prize of 100 euros will be given.
