The Luis Galve hall of the Auditorium of Zaragoza became the epicenter of Aragonese hospitality celebration on Monday, March 23. Over 350 professionals from the sector gathered for the gala awarding the Premios Horeca 2026, the twenty-seventh edition of a unique event in Spain that has turned every table into a canvas of creativity for more than a month.
Under the motto “Flavor Made Art”, from February 12 to March 15, more than 40 restaurants in Zaragoza and the province offered tasting menus priced at €40, €60, and open price, which have amazed, excited, and highlighted the immense local talent. Last night, a professional jury awarded the honors recognizing the best of this gastronomic explosion.
The big winners of the night were:
- Best €60 menu: La Clandestina
- Best €40 menu: El Candelas
Two establishments that are consolidating as undisputed references of the Zaragoza dining scene, capable of offering rounded experiences, with quality products, precise technique, and that creative spark that leaves diners with a smile and a desire to return.
Other notable awards from the gala:
- Best restaurant in the province of Zaragoza: El Burgolés
- Best tapa of Zaragoza and province: Parrilla Nardone (their winning tapa will represent Horeca Restaurantes Zaragoza in the Official Hospitality Championship of Spain – Tapas and Pinchos at Madrid Fusión 2027)
- Best dish of the event: Korean ear, created by Nola Gras
- ‘Aragón, True Flavor’ Award: Rústicco
- Gastronomic Creativity: La Embajada
- Best hotel restaurant and best wine service: Aragonia Palafox
- Best dining room service: La Bodega de Chema
- Special Mention “Living Gastronomy”: Boulevardier
The most emotional moment of the night came with the presentation of the Hospitality Pride Award, a new accolade created to recognize individuals who have elevated the profession. The first recipient was Ferran Adrià, who received the tribute with humility and dedicated the award to José Luis Yzuel, a historic promoter of Horeca Zaragoza. The Catalan chef once again reminded everyone that “a restaurant is the most difficult business there is,” but also one of the most beautiful when done with passion.
Additionally, the ‘José Luis Yzuel’ Gastronomic Star Award went to Raquel Montserrat Baldellou from CaixaBank, for her constant and determined support of the sector.
The Horeca Awards are not just a competition of menus. They are the annual thermometer of the excellent moment that Zaragoza’s gastronomy is experiencing: a diverse, accessible scene rooted in local produce with creativity that no longer envies anyone. From the most honest tradition to the boldest proposals, Zaragoza and its province demonstrate that hospitality is not just an economic sector but a form of living culture in constant evolution.
The table is still set. And after this gala, the desire to sit at it is even greater. Congratulations to all participants, to the winners, and to a Zaragoza hospitality scene that, edition after edition, devours the world bite by bite.
