Fundación Ibercaja will celebrate Financial Education Month throughout October with more than 50 activities in Zaragoza, Huesca, Teruel, Guadalajara, and Logroño. Under the slogan “Save. Invest. Move Forward.”, the program will cover topics ranging from personal finance to artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and cybersecurity.
Marc Vidal to Open Financial Education Month in Zaragoza
The program will begin on October 6 at the Patio de la Infanta with a session led by commentator and economic analyst Marc Vidal. The event will offer a discussion of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and emerging economic scenarios in a participatory format aimed at the general public.
The initiative coincides with Fundación Ibercaja’s 150th anniversary. Throughout the month, the organization will host lectures, workshops, educational activities, and specialist events to provide knowledge and tools that help people make informed and responsible financial decisions.
The activities will focus on personal finance, investment, the digital economy, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology security. The program is aimed at audiences of all ages, with dedicated activities for schoolchildren, young people, families, professionals, and small businesses.
Personal Finance, Investment, and Entrepreneurship for Young People and Families
Financial education and investment expert Esmeralda Gómez López will give the talk “Personal Finance in Times of Uncertainty” on October 8 at the Patio de la Infanta and on October 15 in Guadalajara. The session will address the management of personal finances amid uncertainty.
The program will also include the talk “Start Today: How to Use Money and Investments to Design Your Future”, by Celia Rubio, scheduled for October 21 at Fundación Ibercaja La Rioja and October 22 at the Patio de la Infanta. The session will focus on financial planning and mindful investing.
Content creator Sergio Beguería will give the talk “Make Better Decisions to Build a Life with Direction” on October 27 at the Patio de la Infanta, where he will share his experiences as an entrepreneur and investor. That same day, the founders of Sudaderas Voladora will bring their talk “From Idea to Company: How to Turn an Intuition into a Real Business” to Teruel; it will be repeated on October 29 at Espacio Joven Fundación Ibercaja.
Family wealth planning will also feature in the talk “Inheritance or Gift?”, delivered by lawyer and tax adviser Beatriz Porras on October 22 at Fundación Ibercaja Actur. The event will focus on decisions related to protecting family assets.
Schoolchildren, Young People, and Small Businesses to Attend Workshops on the Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence
The agenda will devote significant attention to the financial education of schoolchildren and young people. The “Wake Up and Become an Entrepreneur!” program will promote values related to personal initiative and entrepreneurship, while several cybersecurity sessions will encourage the safe and responsible use of technology and digital tools.
From October 21 to November 12, Espacio Joven will host a finance program for young people focused on managing personal finances. In addition, from October 5 to 9, the venue will offer a course on responsible consumption and renewable energy for students from fifth grade through high school.
Finanzopoly workshops will target schoolchildren in first through fourth grade and use a gamified approach to introduce basic financial concepts through practical learning. They will be held in Zaragoza, at Espacio Joven and Actur, as well as at Fundación Ibercaja centers in Logroño and Guadalajara.
For the business community, the program includes the course “Boost Your SME and Get Started with AI for Professionals”, scheduled in Zaragoza and Huesca. The training aims to bring the potential of artificial intelligence closer to professionals and small businesses, as part of a program linking financial education, innovation, and new professional opportunities.
