The Vice President of the Government of Aragón, Mar Vaquero, and the President of MotorLand Aragón, Manuel Blasco, participated in the award ceremony for the eighth edition of MotoStudent, held at MotorLand Aragón and organized by TechnoPark. The event brought together nearly 80 university teams from four continents.
Mar Vaquero highlighted that MotoStudent has contributed to making Alcañiz a global reference for students who get to know Aragón through this event. The Vice President emphasized the work of thousands of students who spend a year and a half preparing their prototypes to participate in the competition.
The Counselor of the Presidency, Economy, and Justice expressed satisfaction with the growth of the competition, which has increased from 23 teams in the first edition to nearly 80 currently, with the presence of students from four of the five continents. Vaquero stated that this makes the image of Aragón increasingly associated with technology and innovation.
The Italian teams Quartodilitro Unipo and Polimi Motorcycle Factory won the best project awards in the eFuel and Electric categories, respectively. Polimi Motorcycle Factory also received the Excellence Award.
In the category of best design, the awards went to THM MotorSport Friedberg (Germany) in eFuel and Unibo MotoSport (Italy) in Electric. The best innovation awards were granted to Stretto In Carena Unime (Italy) and Uma Racing Team (Spain).
Manuel Blasco pointed out that in Alcañiz are the future MotoGP engineers and emphasized the commitment to sustainability of the event, not only with electric motorcycles but also by promoting eco-friendly and non-polluting fuels, where competition and research come together.
