The Department of Education, Culture, and Sports of the Government of Aragón has issued a tender for the construction works to expand the school building of the CRA ‘Montearagón’ in the municipality of Chimillas. The work will involve an investment of 619,137.85 euros (including VAT), with a completion period of twelve months. Interested companies may submit their bids until September 5, at the Provincial Education Service in Huesca.
Due to the increase in student enrollment at this center in recent years, and the expectation that this trend will continue in the upcoming school years, the expansion of the school has become necessary. The center currently has limited spaces: a primary classroom of 54.09 square meters for first, second, and third grades; another smaller classroom of 17.40 square meters for fourth, fifth, and sixth grades; and a preschool classroom of 34.80 square meters. The expansion will allow for a reorganization of these spaces, using the smaller classroom for splitting classes and pedagogical support activities, thus improving the educational conditions of the center.
The final configuration considers three primary classrooms, one preschool classroom, and a splitting space. Additionally, the project includes the expansion of the cafeteria, the construction of new restrooms, and the unification of the roof, which will result in a comprehensive improvement of the educational facilities.
The intervention plan seeks to optimize the spaces and resources of the center, responding to the educational infrastructure needs with an investment that will modernize the existing facilities.
The proposal outlines a structure that addresses three fundamental aspects: the bidding process, the current situation of the center, and the projected improvements, allowing for a comprehensive view of the expansion project.
