The Master in Motorsport Engineering is entering a new phase with the opening of registration for its seventh edition, scheduled for January 2027. This decision follows a positive assessment made by the organizing entities during a meeting held at MotorLand Aragón, where the results of the current edition were analyzed, and the work lines for the future of the program were defined.
After six editions and over 200 trained students, the master’s program has established itself as one of the most specialized academic proposals for those looking to develop a professional career in the motorsport industry, a sector that increasingly demands highly qualified profiles in technical and management areas.
The meeting featured representatives from the three entities behind the program. From San Jorge University, its rector, Silvia Carrascal Domínguez, attended; representing SEAS Open Higher Studies were its director, José María Megino Barquinero, and the academic and innovation manager, José Manuel Pascual Fito; while MotorLand Aragón was represented by its managing director, Jorge Juan Panadés Andreu, the business development director, Conrado Molina Boloix, and the coordinator of the Master in Motorsport Engineering, Omar Baselga.
All of them emphasized the program’s evolution and its ability to link academic training with the actual needs of the competitive industry.
Training Connected to Circuit Reality
One of the main distinguishing features of the Master in Motorsport Engineering is its commitment to a methodology that combines online training with practical experiences developed in real competitive environments.
During the current sixth edition, students have participated in technical seminars led by active professionals and in activities conducted within the facilities of MotorLand Aragón. These experiences have allowed them to gain firsthand knowledge of the operations of sports teams and structures, as well as to apply knowledge related to competition engineering.
To date, the program has included activities linked to the Spanish Karting Championship (CEK), the Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK), and Racing Weekend. In the coming months, students will complete their training with new experiences during the Aragón MotoGP Grand Prix, specialized technical days, and private tests designed specifically for the student body.
Direct participation in these events fosters contact with engineers, technicians, drivers, and team managers, bringing students closer to the professional reality of motorcycling, automotive racing, and karting.
Active Faculty and a Global Perspective on Motorsport
The program also maintains a strong practical orientation thanks to the participation of more than a dozen instructors currently active in national and international motorsport.
The curriculum addresses areas such as vehicle dynamics, data acquisition and analysis, aerodynamics, composite materials, advanced design, team management, and psychology applied to competition. This combination allows for a comprehensive view of the various departments that form part of a high-performance sports structure.
The training is complemented by networking activities, technical visits, and collaborations with industry companies, promoting the professional development of students and expanding their opportunities to access the job market.
Open Enrollment for the 2027 Edition
Following the results obtained during the first six cohorts, the Master in Motorsport Engineering has officially opened enrollment for its seventh edition, which will begin in January 2027.
The program will maintain its academic model, with a maximum of 30 places, flexible online training, and a comprehensive schedule of in-person activities linked to real competitive events.
With over a hundred graduates and alumni currently pursuing their professional careers in national and international championships, the master’s program continues to reinforce its role as a bridge between specialized training, applied engineering, and access to one of the most demanding and competitive industries in the sports arena.
The new call represents an opportunity for those professionals and students who wish to orient their careers towards motorsport, acquiring technical knowledge and practical experience in an environment closely linked to high-level competition.
