Aragón Offers 2,885 Places in 77 Online Courses for Teachers

Aragón is offering 2,885 places across 77 online courses in continuing professional development for teachers through Aularagón, with programs focused on digital skills, educational innovation, programming and robotics. The call, managed by the Department of Education through the Aragonese Center for Educational Technologies (CATEDU), kept registration open until November 2, 2026, on the DOCEO platform.

Teacher training in Aragón adds 17 STEAM and Código Escuela 4.0 courses

The program allocates 17 courses to the STEAM methodology and Código Escuela 4.0. Of these, 13 courses are part of Código Escuela 4.0 and offer 520 places, while the four STEAM-focused programs provide another 90 places.

The content covers computational thinking, robotics in early childhood education, programming, home automation and smart agriculture. The courses are designed to foster creativity, logical reasoning and problem-solving in the classroom.

The call extends the rollout of Código Escuela 4.0 and the work of training coordinators for the use of learning technologies, known as COFOTAP. These professionals take part in seminars run by Aragón’s Teacher Training Centers to promote the pedagogical integration of technology in schools.

Aularagón links schools’ technology resources with teacher training

The program connects training with the technological resources already available in primary and secondary schools. The approach seeks to ensure that equipment provision is accompanied by teacher training, enabling devices to be used for educational purposes and strengthening students’ skills.

Courses for certifying teachers’ B2-level digital competence retain a duration of 70 hours, although they now extend over one semester. CATEDU also plans to pilot voluntary synchronous tutoring sessions in part of the program, aimed at answering questions, sharing experiences and supporting participants.

The program is being reorganized to refine content and concentrate resources

CATEDU has reviewed and reorganized its catalog to retain courses that address teachers’ needs, update content and consolidate offerings. The reorganization aims to concentrate training, align available resources and strengthen the practical value of learning in educational institutions.

The initiatives form part of the priorities of the Third Aragón Framework Plan for Teacher Training, with the aim of bringing innovation and technology into teaching practice and the learning of Aragón’s students.
