Zaragoza is preparing for its most iconic annual event: the Fiestas del Pilar 2025, from October 4 to 13. This celebration transforms the capital into a mosaic of devotion, folklore, and entertainment. The official program promises to be the most ambitious to date, highlighting the participation of Peru as the guest country.
Mayor Natalia Chueca Muñoz emphasizes the pride of an open, hospitable, and festive city. The festivities offer a blend of Catholic faith, Aragonese jota, concerts, and gastronomy, attracting millions.
The Opening Ceremony: A Cinematic Tribute to Zaragoza
The festivities begin with an opening ceremony on Saturday, October 4 at 9:00 PM. This year’s theme is Zaragoza on Film, featuring the participation of award-winning directors and a parade dedicated to local symbols.
The Offerings: The Devout and Multicultural Heart of the Festivities
The spiritual climax will be the Offering of Flowers on Sunday, October 12, the largest in the world. This year, with Peru integrated, a cultural mosaic is expected. The event includes costume and flower competitions.
A Vibrant Program: Day by Day, from Folklore to Modern Shows
The calendar encompasses music, theater, circus, sports, and bullfighting. Highlighted events include the Ibercaja Tennis Trophy, concerts by Melendi, and Vermut Jotero.
Gastronomy, Family, and Sports
Gastronomy takes center stage with the Food Trucks Zaragoza and the Pilar Gastroweek. For families, there are games and workshops in spaces such as Río y Juego and the Puppet Park.
Security, Sustainability, and Zaragoza Pride
The City Council thanks the police and cleaning services for a safe Pilar. Inclusive spaces and an app to facilitate mobility stand out among this year’s initiatives.
The Fiestas del Pilar 2025 are an invitation to enjoy with respect and feel the pride of being from Zaragoza. Long live the Pilar!
