Aragón Receives €1,978,257 from 2026 Plan Renove for Agricultural Machinery

The 2026 Farm Machinery Renewal Plan has exhausted its funds and will award €9,462,139.88 to 1,966 farmers and livestock producers. In Aragon, aid amounts to €1,978,257.16 for the acquisition of 350 pieces of machinery, the second-highest total among Spain’s autonomous communities.

Aragon accounts for nearly €2 million under the 2026 Renewal Plan

Spain’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food announced on October 2, 2026 that the call’s funding had been exhausted. The application period closed on September 15, with 2,100 applications accepted, of which 1,966 ultimately had budget funding available.

The grants awarded will support estimated investment of more than €42 million in new agricultural machinery. Based on preliminary data, public aid accounts for 22% of beneficiaries’ spending.

Castile and León leads the allocation, with 1,048 units and €4,917,169.16 in grants. Aragon ranks second, ahead of Castile-La Mancha, which has 130 units. Aid reaches every autonomous community except the island regions.

Precision agriculture rises 55% under the program

The precision-agriculture line has a budget of €1.55 million and has recorded growth of 55%. The number of applications in this category increased by 87%, compared with a 16% increase across the Renewal Plan as a whole.

Auto-guidance systems once again were the most requested equipment, with 706 units and €1,411,660.38 in aid awarded. The call also subsidizes 28 ISOBUS retrofit kits, 22 systems for adapting machinery to variable-rate operations, and one agricultural robot.

The program maintains three investment lines: €3 million for no-till seeders, €5 million for other machinery, and €1.55 million for precision-agriculture equipment. The latter allows equipment to be purchased without scrapping existing machinery, according to the Ministry.

Crop-protection equipment and shredders outnumber seeders

No-till seeders account for the largest individual amount of aid among subsidized machinery, with 196 units and €2,923,655.71. However, both the number of applications and the total amount of aid have declined compared with previous calls.

In this edition, plant-residue shredders and crop-protection product application equipment outnumber no-till seeders. Grants have been awarded for 302 shredders, totaling €804,043.87, and 298 crop-protection equipment units, which will receive €1,520,263.37.

Other supported equipment includes 129 tractors, with €1,432,366.42 in aid, 142 units for maintaining plant cover, and 119 fertilizer spreaders. The Ministry attributes the allocation of aid to the exhaustion of the funding line for other machinery, which prevented the activation of reserve applications under the no-till seeder line.
