Querqus Sustainable Packing, a Zaragoza-based company, has been awarded the runner-up prize for Sustainable SME 2025 at the national level. This recognition, presented during a ceremony presided over by King Felipe VI in Madrid, highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability and the circular economy.
The Prestigious SME of the Year Award
The SME of the Year Award, now in its ninth edition, is an annual recognition that celebrates the crucial role of small and medium-sized enterprises in creating jobs and wealth in Spain. It is aimed at companies with fewer than 250 employees and a turnover not exceeding 50 million euros. This year, 1,770 companies from 50 provinces participated, with support from 54 Territorial Chambers of Commerce and 13 Territorial Offices of Banco Santander.
Querqus Sustainable Packing stood out among the finalists, which included Lain Technologies S.L. from Madrid, Miguelitos Ruiz from Albacete, and Oxiplant Steel Transformation Center from Asturias. The competition was fierce, reflecting the diversity and dynamism of the Spanish business fabric.

Its headquarters are in Zaragoza, and it has six operational centers across Spain.
