Quinto once again transforms its streets into an open-air museum with the third edition of Retrospectiva. Allowed to Paint Posters, a project that recovers and reinterprets old commercial advertisements through the work of four invited artists. The initiative, driven by the City Council and supported by the Zaragoza Provincial Council, aims to highlight the graphic memory of the municipality and reinforce its cultural identity.
Over several days, the artists have intervened in various facades of the urban core, transforming them into canvases for posters inspired by advertising designs from the mid-20th century. The result combines traditional techniques with contemporary approaches, creating a visual route that interacts with the architecture and everyday history of the town.
The works have been selected following a call for proposals that prioritizes ideas linked to brands, trades, and services that were part of local life. The project also stands out for its connection with the neighbors, who contribute memories, photographs, and anecdotes that help reconstruct the aesthetics of the time.
This edition solidifies Retrospectiva as a unique cultural event in Aragón, capable of attracting visitors and revitalizing the artistic fabric of the region. With each intervention, Quinto reinforces its commitment to public art and the creative recovery of its graphic heritage.
