Randstad forecasts 13,160 new hires in Aragón for the 2025 holiday season
Randstad, the number 1 talent company in Spain, has published its hiring forecasts for the 2025 holiday season, which spans from Black Friday to the January sales. The analysis focuses on the commerce, hospitality, and logistics-transport sectors.
The consultancy estimates that 13,160 new contracts will be generated in Aragón during this campaign, representing a 6.3% increase compared to 2024, when 12,380 contracts were signed. This growth will be distributed across all provinces in Aragón:
- Zaragoza: 10,320 contracts (+5.8%), accounting for more than three-quarters of the total
- Huesca: 2,010 contracts (+8.1%), recording the highest provincial growth
- Teruel: 830 contracts (+7.8%)
National Overview
At the national level, Randstad forecasts the generation of more than 452,000 new contracts, a 4.7% increase over the 2024 campaign. By sectors:
- Hospitality: 174,190 contracts, experiencing the highest growth (+12.4%)
- Transport and logistics: 160,000 contracts (-6.8% compared to 2024)
- Commerce: 119,000 contracts (+12.1%)
Extremadura and Navarra lead the hiring increase with growth rates of 7.5% and 6.9%, respectively. Aragón is above the average, along with the Canary Islands (6.4%), Andalusia (6%), and Cantabria (6%).
The sectors identify the following professions as priorities:
- In logistics: packers, warehouse workers, forklift operators, and drivers.
- In hospitality: experienced waiters, customer service professionals, and staff with sales skills.
- In commerce: salespeople, promoters, and sales profiles.
The consultancy highlights a growing demand for professionals with digital skills and familiarity with online platforms, especially in the logistics and retail sectors.
