Teruel launches a digital guide for traveling in motorhomes with 44 mapped service areas
The Teruel Provincial Council, through its Tourism Department and in collaboration with the communication group La Comarca, has launched a digital platform dedicated to motorhome tourism. The guide, available at www.guiacamperteruel.com, offers updated information on designated spaces, services, and tourist attractions for travelers who choose this mode of transport.
The guide incorporates an interactive map that locates 44 designated service areas in the province, complemented by a search feature by municipality. Each area includes a detailed profile with the number of spaces, electrical connections, potable water, waste disposal services, access, address, and direct link to Google Maps, as well as a photo gallery.
In addition to motorhome areas, the platform offers a list of 20 campsites available in the province, providing a comprehensive view of spaces available for this segment of tourism.
The website includes useful information for each municipality to facilitate the stay: shops, bars, nearby parks, workshops, gas stations, and other services. The platform also features a participatory space where users can share opinions and experiences, turning the tool into a collaborative resource.
Currently, there are 17 municipal projects underway to create new service areas. With these developments, Teruel is expected to have approximately 60 areas in the coming years.
The Tourism Deputy, Marta Sancho, highlighted that this type of tourism attracts an increasing number of users and facilitates the arrival of visitors to places outside the main attractions, as it appeals to a public seeking different destinations with good facilities.
Lidia Gros, project manager and director of the Digital Area of La Comarca, stated that the goal is to position Teruel as a camper destination, attract new audiences, and provide reliable and specialized information that enhances visibility for the region.
