SARGA Unveils Agricultural Innovation Progress at FIMA 2026

The public company SARGA brought together representatives of the Government of Aragón at the International Agricultural Machinery Fair (FIMA) 2026 to discuss advancements in its Strategic Plan 2023–2027. This meeting, concluded by the Minister of Environment and Tourism, Manuel Blasco, highlighted the importance of enhancing customer experience and technological innovation in the agricultural sector.

Advancements in Customer Experience and Technological Innovation

During the day, the Operations Director, Sescún Castán, highlighted a project based on the EFQM model, which has already conducted 30 internal surveys with staff in direct contact with clients. The second phase, scheduled for 2026, will include direct interviews with end customers and focus groups, seeking continuous improvement in user experience.

Meanwhile, Carlos Ordoñez, head of the economic-financial and ICT department, presented advancements in artificial intelligence within the Strategic Systems Plan 2023–2027. Among the pilot projects launched in 2025 are the optimization of the MER Service routes and the early detection of fires in the Natural Park of Monegros (PNOMP), with new applications planned for 2026.

Emergency Response and Territorial Coordination

A roundtable, featuring Miguel Ángel Clavero, Elena Lacalle, mayor of Cuarte de Huerva, and José Antonio Piñero, addressed the INFOAR device, which mobilizes up to 900 professionals with 24/7 response capability. This device has been crucial in managing recent wildfires and floods in various municipalities in Aragón.

Participants emphasized the importance of coordination and territorial knowledge in emergency responses, highlighting actions in areas such as Cuarte de Huerva, María de Huerva, Cadrete, Azuara, and Letux. The combination of these factors has been decisive in facing environmental challenges in the region.

Future Perspectives and Digitalization

Pedro de Miguel presented advancements in the digitalization of the water cycle, framed within the PERTE and European projects. These initiatives reflect SARGA’s commitment to sustainability and efficiency in water resource management, aligning with the strategic goals of the Government of Aragón.

The gathering at FIMA 2026 reaffirms SARGA’s commitment to innovation and continuous improvement, aiming to position itself as a benchmark in public service management in Aragón. With a team of 1,700 professionals, the company continues to progress in its mission to provide agile and effective solutions across the entire Aragonese territory.
