The Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón (CSMA) is preparing to dazzle at the Princesa Leonor auditorium in Zaragoza with its much-anticipated concert «Goyescas.» This event, which is part of the IN-OUT CSMA mini-tours series, will take place this Sunday in the Sala Mozart at 11:30 AM, offering a unique musical experience.
A diverse and engaging musical program
The concert «Goyescas» promises a varied program that will begin with the Intermezzo from the opera Goyescas by Enrique Granados, followed by the Flute Concerto by Carl Nielsen, and will culminate with Symphony No. 7 by Ludwig Van Beethoven. Tickets are available from 7 euros at the auditorium box office, allowing the audience to enjoy a morning of high-quality classical music.
The flutist Francisco López Martín, the guest soloist for this occasion, will perform Nielsen’s concerto. López Martín, who graduated from CSMA in 2009, has built a distinguished career as a solo flutist with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Catalonia since 2018. His experience includes principal roles with the Oslo Philharmonic and the Göteborg Opera Orchestra.
Recognitions and notable events of the CSMA
During his visit, Francisco López Martín will be honored with the Son CSMA 2026 Award, a recognition of his career and contribution to the world of music. This award highlights artists who began their careers at the CSMA and have achieved international success.
The CSMA also has other events scheduled in February, such as the concert Conexi-ON CSMA on February 10, featuring 24 pianists in the Luis Galve hall of the auditorium, with free admission. Additionally, from February 20 to 22, the show Metrópolis will be presented at the Teatro Principal in Zaragoza, directed by Joaquín Murillo and featuring the Academy for New Music of the CSMA.
