Forecasts for tourist occupancy in the province are showing a notable increase, driven by the appeal of the scheduled tourist, religious, and cultural events during these days. According to available data, the estimated occupancy for this year stands at 73.18%, improving on the figures recorded in 2024 (68.14%) and slightly above the 71.32% achieved in 2023.
By day, and as expected, the night of Holy Friday to Holy Saturday will have the highest occupancy across the province, with a peak forecasted at 98.56%, marking a record compared to previous years. During Holy Week in 2024, the nights with the highest attendance were from Thursday to Friday and from Friday to Saturday, although the percentages did not exceed 79%.
The average length of stay also increases
Another positive sign is the increase in the average length of stay both in Zaragoza city and across the province. In the city, it is estimated to reach 2.55 days, compared to 2.21 recorded during the same period in 2024. In the rest of the province, the expected average is 2.44 days, improving on the 2 days from 2024 and the 1.71 days from 2023.
Slight decrease in international tourism
On the contrary, a slight decrease in the proportion of international visitors is expected. In Zaragoza, the forecasted percentage is 13.45%, down from 18.22% last year. In the province, the projection is 10.56%, below the 15.25% recorded in 2024.
As for the origin of national tourists, Zaragoza receives visitors primarily from Madrid, Valencia, the Basque Country, Galicia, Castile and León, Navarre, Barcelona, and Aragon. In the rest of the province, visitors from Madrid, Catalonia, Valencia, the Basque Country, and Aragon predominate. Among international tourists, those from Portugal, France, and Germany stand out.
