Turomas, a company based in Rubielos de Mora, has announced a significant investment of 1.5 million euros to expand its facilities, with the support of regional funds. This project, which will be presented to the Just Transition Fund 2026, aims to strengthen the company’s presence in the international market.
Infrastructure and Capacity Expansion
The ambitious plan by Turomas includes the construction of a new building of 2,000 square meters and the implementation of an additional production line. This expansion will not only increase the company’s productive capacity but also modernize its offices to meet the demands of a global company. Additionally, the plan includes the creation of new businesses within the group that will focus on the manufacturing of complementary glass and metal products.
The vice president and acting counselor of the Presidency, Economy, and Justice, Mar Vaquero, visited the facilities to learn firsthand about Turomas’ expansion plans. Vaquero emphasized the importance of these projects for the economic development of the region.
Economic and Employment Benefits
The expansion of Turomas translates into the creation of 15 new direct jobs, which will strengthen the labor fabric of Rubielos de Mora. Moreover, a positive impact on indirect employment is expected, with an increase of between 25% and 30% in the workforce of local service and manufacturing providers, such as electricians and auxiliary workshops.
With the new production line, Turomas will exceed 115 workers, consolidating its position as a key employer in the Gúdar-Javalambre region. Vaquero highlighted that the support of initiatives like the Just Transition Fund and Lanza Teruel is crucial for fostering employment and economic growth in the province of Teruel.
