Unemployment in Aragon Falls by 5.19% Year-On-Year in November, Reaching 48,722 People
In November 2025, registered unemployment in Aragon showed a slight reduction compared to the previous month. According to data published by the Public State Employment Service, the autonomous community registered 48,722 unemployed individuals at public employment offices. This figure represents an annual decrease of 5.19% compared to November 2024, when there were 51,388 unemployed.
From October to November, Aragon experienced a decrease of 57 unemployed persons, equivalent to a monthly variation of 0.12%. At the national level, recorded unemployment fell by 0.77% compared to October, reaching 2,424,961 unemployed individuals. Historically, November does not show a defined seasonal pattern in the region; in the last 30 years, unemployment has risen 19 times in Aragon during this month, while it has decreased 11 times.
The reduction in unemployment was uneven across provinces and sectors. By gender, there was a reduction of 65 men (-0.35% monthly) but an increase of 8 women (0.03% monthly). In terms of sectors, services reduced unemployment by 174 persons (-0.51%), industry by 26 persons (-0.49%), agriculture by 7 persons (-0.37%), while construction increased by 7 persons (0.27%). By province, Huesca decreased by 5 persons (-0.08%), Zaragoza by 117 (-0.31%), while Teruel increased by 65 (1.58%).
In November, 34,663 contracts were registered in Aragon, including 12,520 permanent contracts (36.12%) and 22,143 temporary contracts (63.88%). Compared to October, hiring decreased by 23.94% month-on-month, although it increased by 0.79% year-on-year. The average affiliation to Social Security in Aragon stood at 632,231 persons, registering a monthly decrease of 0.05% but an annual increase of 2.30%.
