Vaquero highlights technological collaboration with NTT DATA in Tokyo
The Vice President of the Government of Aragón, Mar Vaquero, held an institutional meeting with representatives of the multinational technology company NTT DATA in Tokyo. The meeting was part of the agenda of the Aragonese delegation during Aragón Week at the Universal Exposition in Osaka.
The meeting, which included the participation of the managing director of Aragón Exterior (AREX), Javier Camo, concluded with a commitment to work together in the search for solutions and applications of artificial intelligence for the regional government. Vaquero described the meeting as «an opportunity to collaborate and demonstrate the technological potential of Aragón.»
NTT DATA coordinates its generative artificial intelligence strategy from Zaragoza, providing services to the 56 countries in which it operates. The Vice President emphasized that Carlos Galve, originally from Aragón, will be the global head of intelligence at NTT. The company currently employs over 600 professionals in the Aragonese capital, distributed across its offices in the Aragonia building and the Trovador building.
Vaquero underscored Aragón’s potential as an internationally recognized technology hub, mentioning the virtuous triangle of innovation formed by DAT Alierta, Walqa, and Technopark. The Aragonese delegation showcased the community’s capabilities for establishing data centers, a sector in which NTT is a global leader.
