Vocational Training in Aragon Reaches 28,347 Students by 2025

Vocational Training continues to expand in Aragón with record numbers for the 2025/2026 academic year. The Minister of Education, Tomasa Hernández, and the Director General of Planning, Centers, and Vocational Training, Luis Mallada, presented these new figures during a visit to the CPIFP Los Enlaces in Zaragoza, which was recognized as a Center of Excellence in the audiovisual sector.

The total of 28,347 enrolled students represents an increase of 719 students compared to the previous year, consolidating a trend of sustained growth. By province, Zaragoza accounts for the majority with 21,158 students, followed by Huesca with 3,930 and Teruel with 3,259. The enrollment process remains open until December 21, so these figures could increase.

The largest professional families are Administration and Management (15.7% of the total), Information Technology and Communications (14.5%), and Health (11%). The greatest growth is observed in Security and Environment, Food Industries, and Physical and Sports Activities, with increases above 12%, followed by Personal Image, Hospitality and Tourism, and Textile, Tailoring and Leather, with increases surpassing 6%.

The training offer has reached 150 different qualifications: 23 for basic level, 44 for intermediate level, 71 for higher level, and 12 specialized courses. Notably, the pilot experience of the new TEC cycles (Technology, Employability, Competence) stands out, which combine project-based learning and dual vocational training in an intensive format at the Digital Campus, where all places were filled.

The STEAM approach continues to gain ground with 16,137 students enrolled in families within this field, representing 56.9% of the total (2,200 more than the previous year) distributed across 321 cycles. The number of students in the dual intensive program adds up to over 700, marking a 20% increase.

The employment rate exceeds 86%, reaching 97.4% in the intensive program. The Government of Aragón remains committed to these teachings with 42 Applied Technology Classrooms (ATECA) available in the three provinces and 64 entrepreneurship classrooms.

The CPIFP Los Enlaces will receive funding of more than 620,000 euros for digital, technological, and methodological transformation following its incorporation into the State Network of Excellence in Vocational Training. With this accreditation, Aragón now has six centers recognized as Centers of Excellence: CIFPA (transport and logistics), Pirámide de Huesca (renewable energies), Bajo Aragón de Alcañiz (automotive), CPIFF Montearagón de Huesca (social economy and care), and CPIFP Corona de Aragón (chemistry).
