The José Antonio Labordeta Grand Park once again transforms into the grand garden of Zaragoza. From May 21 to 24, the sixth edition of Zaragoza Florece brings together floral installations, concerts, workshops, gastronomy, and activities for all audiences in one of the most popular events on the city’s cultural calendar.
Under the slogan The garden we imagine, the festival transforms some of the park’s most iconic spaces into an open-air artistic journey where nature, creativity, and civic engagement come together. This year’s event, which attracted over 360,000 visitors in its previous edition, has established itself as one of the leading floral festivals in Spain.
Floral installations in the park’s most iconic spaces
This year’s edition features prominent national and international floral artists including Nicu Bocancea, Casa Protea, Alex Segura, Samuel Flores, David Córdoba, Bea Beroy, Clara Sanz, Carles J. Fontanillas, and Carlos Curbelo, along with Zaragoza Dinámica and the Association of Florists of Aragón.
Their creations can be seen in some of the most recognizable corners of the Grand Park, including the Escalinata del Batallador, the Fountain of Neptune, the Songwriters’ Bridge, the Greenhouse, the Aviary, and the Monument to the Hispano-French Exhibition.
Live music and new spaces
The musical program continues to be one of the festival’s main attractions. Various stages spread throughout the park will host performances throughout the weekend, featuring artists and groups such as Vera GRV, Mediterráneos, Poetas d’Calle, Rosín de Palo, and Fantasmas Amarillos.
Among the new features is the addition of the newly renovated Francisco Loscos Botanical Garden, and the creation of La Placita by Enbotella, a new area with its own programming that combines music, meetings, and cultural activities.
Gastronomy, floral market, and family activities
The culinary offerings will again take center stage with an area featuring 20 food trucks and picnic spaces designed for enjoying the day outdoors.
Visitors can also explore the floral market and participate in workshops and activities aimed at different audiences. Children will have specific areas like EcoKids and EcoJunior, where proposals related to environmental education, composting, games, and children’s shows will be developed.
An event that has become a reference in Zaragoza
Beyond the flowers, Zaragoza Florece has become one of the major spring events in Zaragoza. The combination of floral art, music, gastronomy, and family entertainment has solidified an event that attracts thousands of visitors each year and projects an image of a city linked to creativity, nature, and the enjoyment of public space.
