Zaragoza will celebrate San Valero 2026, the festival of its patron saint, with a special program that will extend over five days and bring together concerts, traditional events, and cultural proposals for all audiences. From Wednesday, January 28 to Sunday, February 1, the city will offer a complete calendar of activities, with the central point remaining on Thursday, January 29, San Valero Day, although the municipal agenda will continue throughout the weekend.
Wednesday, January 28: Start of the Celebrations
The program will kick off with the traditional Ronda del Gallo, a folkloric tour through the city center that will feature this year the jota singers Nacho del Río and Beatriz Bernad as patrons.

7:00 PM. The rond will depart from Plaza de la Magdalena and will travel along Calle Mayor, Pedro Ramírez, San Lorenzo, Coso, Heroísmo, and Calle Asalto, returning once again to Plaza de la Magdalena.
In the evening, the Harinera ZGZ will host the show “Agustina and Valero Go to Therapy”, by Teatro Indigesto, a contemporary theater proposal designed for all audiences.
Thursday, January 29: San Valero Day
The main day of the festivities will focus on many of the most traditional events.

From 10:00 AM. The City Council of Zaragoza will celebrate its open day, with guided tours until 8:00 PM and theatrical appearances.

From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Museum of Fire and Firefighters will be open for free visits.

10:00 AM. Distribution of a giant roscón in Plaza del Pilar, measuring 600 meters long and approximately 20,000 servings, alongside the creation of the floral flag of Zaragoza, in which the municipal corporation and the Association of Florists of Aragon will participate.
Children’s Activities
The day will feature numerous proposals aimed at the youngest:

11:00 AM. Departure of the Parade of Giants, Big-Headed Figures, and Ponies from Plaza del Pilar, touring the Historic Center.

León Garganchón, between the Fountain of Goya and Plaza del Pilar.

Tragachicos, in Plaza de Salamero.

Children’s show “Los Tropezantes”, by Almozandia Teatro, accompanied by the distribution of children’s roscón in the Plaza de la Delegación del Gobierno.
Music and Folklore
Aragonese folklore will play a prominent role throughout the day:

Jota performances by the groups Danzar and L’Ausín, at the Fountain of Hispanidad.

Concerts by the Malayer Band of Torrero and the Music Band of Casetas, in Plaza de San Pedro Nolasco.

The Neighborhood Association of Arrabal will organize guided tours at the San Lázaro Interpretation Center and a concert by the Cornet and Drum Band in the Church of Nuestra Señora de Altabás.
Friday, January 30: Traditional Dress and Jota Rounds

7:00 PM. The Luis Galve Room of the Zaragoza Auditorium will host a parade of Aragonese clothing, with free admission until capacity is reached.

8:00 PM. Departure of the jota rounds by Raíces de Aragón, which will traverse Plaza José Sinués, San Andrés, San Jorge, San Pedro Nolasco, Hermanos Argensola, Cedro, Santa Marta, Dormer, Cisne, and Plaza de La Seo.

8:30 PM. Performance by the Band of Gaitas Boto Aragonesas, traveling through Plaza Ariño, Plaza Santa Cruz, Espoz y Mina, San Braulio, Molino, Alfonso I, Torrenueva, and Plaza San Felipe.
Saturday, January 31: Great Itinerant Show
The Paseo de la Independencia will be the setting for the itinerant show “Quimera and Aquiles”, a street theater proposal with large mechanical figures that will transform the streets into an outdoor stage. This is one of the most striking events of the program, where myth, legend, and performing arts merge to close the festive weekend with a great visual impact.
Festi Valero
The Festi Valero, organized in collaboration with Aragón Radio, will offer concerts on different days:

January 29. Concerts at Plaza de la Justicia.

January 31. Performances aimed at young audiences, featuring Ferrán and Willowisp, at the Delegación del Gobierno stage.

February 1. A day dedicated to folk music, with Prospekt and El Vicio del Duende.
