The Association of Truffle Gatherers and Growers of the Province of Teruel (ATRUTER) was instrumental in obtaining the PGI for the Black Truffle of Teruel. The application, submitted on April 5, 2022, reflects ATRUTER’s commitment to the development and improvement of truffle cultivation. This nonprofit organization, established in 1997, represents nearly 500 members and manages almost 10,000 hectares dedicated to truffle cultivation.
ATRUTER has played a crucial role in promoting and defending the interests of truffle growers, consolidating Teruel as a vital hub for quality black truffle production.
