The company has initiated the corresponding legal process to clarify what happened and to try to locate the stolen products.
Upon discovering the theft, DJI proceeded to block the affected devices and asserts that these cannot be activated. The company has also urged users to avoid purchasing the stolen products and to report any information that could help determine their whereabouts or identify potential attempts at resale.
To assist with identification, the company has published the serial numbers corresponding to the 348 items. Among the prefixes included in the list are ANG5P5E001L1, ANDGQP6A001, ANGZP, and ANGZN. DJI recommends checking the serial number before purchasing any of its products if there are doubts about their origin.
So far, the published information does not detail the circumstances surrounding the theft nor identify possible perpetrators. There is also no public information from Mexican authorities on any arrests related to the case.
