More than 4,000 people took part this summer in Veruela Estival, the cultural program held at the Monastery of Veruela and its surrounding area. The series sold out concerts, heritage tours, and family activities, reinforcing the venue’s appeal as a cultural destination.
Veruela Estival fills the Monastery of Veruela with music and heritage
The Veruela Summer Festival once again ranked among the program’s main draws. All available tickets sold out in an edition featuring artists and groups including Tako, Pancho Varona, Las Migas, Queralt Lahoz, and Depedro, alongside other musical acts.
The program also highlighted the monastery’s heritage. Dramatic tours, guided visits, sound experiences, and activities linked to the site’s 800 years of history all reached capacity, offering different ways to explore the complex.
The program, organized by the Provincial Council of Zaragoza, combined cultural activity with efforts to showcase the Monastery of Veruela. It was aimed at both provincial residents and visitors drawn by the concerts and activities held during the summer months.
Theater, dance, and popular culture expand Veruela’s family programming
Veruela Estival also included children’s theater, dance, and circus performances, with family-oriented activities that likewise reached capacity. These offerings broadened the attendee profile and extended the program beyond concerts.
Traditions and popular culture also featured on the calendar, with the Third Meeting of Choirs from the Province of Zaragoza and the Moncayo Dance and Traditions Festival. Both events connected the program with the region’s cultural expressions.
The Moncayo District accounts for most of Veruela Estival’s audience
Most attendees came from the Moncayo District, where the series has established itself as a local cultural offering. The major concerts, meanwhile, broadened the program’s reach, attracting audiences from Navarra, Soria, Madrid, and other parts of Aragon and neighboring regions.
