The Government of Aragon allocates more than 360,000 euros to initial vocational training qualification programs

The Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of Aragon has allocated 362,900.96 euros to finance initial vocational training (FP) qualification programs aimed at young people who have left the education system prematurely without obtaining a professional qualification.

These grants, 60% co-financed by the regional government and 40% by the European Social Fund Plus of Aragón 2021-2027, have been awarded to two non-profit organizations: the Foundation for the Physically Handicapped of Aragón (DFA) and the Ramón Rey Ardid Foundation.

The DFA Foundation will develop two programs: Administrative Services Auxiliary and Auxiliary of Arrangements and Adaptations of Articles, with a total funding of 182,179.20 euros. For its part, the Ramón Rey Ardid Foundation will carry out the Industrial Laundry and Nursery, Garden and Garden Center Operator programs, receiving 180,721.76 euros for their execution.

The main objective of these initial qualification programs is to facilitate the obtaining of an accreditation, certificate or diploma to improve the employability of young people, enabling them to broaden their basic skills and continue their studies in the different courses.

In addition to these grants to non-profit entities, the Department of Education finances similar programs in local entities. In the last call for proposals, 693,000 euros were allocated for the organization of 18 professional workshops in Zaragoza, Huesca … this reinforces the commitment of the Government of Aragon to the training and labor insertion of young people in the community.
