The Aragonese company Itesal ended 2024 with a positive balance, highlighting sustained growth in its business areas, particularly in the architecture sector. During its annual conference held in Pina de Ebro, the company underlined its commitment to the circular economy, a central axis in its operations and future strategy.
Among the main achievements of this year, Itesal has recorded an increase of 2% to 3% in tons produced compared to 2023, consolidating its position in the domestic market. However, the company projects further growth potential, noting that the usual behavior of the export market would have placed the increase above 10 %.
«in the last two years we have greatly strengthened the commercial areas in the world of Architecture and have intensified the implementation of resources that are now beginning to bear fruit. This year we have moved to 2023 levels, which translates into just over a 2% or 3% increase in tons, although if the export market had behaved as usual, the growth would have been in figures higher than 10%» Itesal’s general manager, Armando Mateos
The event also served to present Itesal Futura, an innovative project designed to guarantee the company’s long-term sustainability. This program includes initiatives aimed at developing talent, attracting strategic profiles and improving the work environment, all with the objective of strengthening Itesal’s capacity to face the challenges of the future.
«With Itesal Futura we not only want to respond to the needs of the present, but also lay the foundations for long-term sustainable growth«, said the company’s CEO
With a firm environmental commitment, Itesal has implemented measures to reduce its carbon footprint, promoting more efficient processes and positioning aluminum as a key material in the circular economy. Looking ahead to 2025, the company will continue to invest in sustainable technologies and launch products made entirely from recycled materials.
The company has awarded special distinctions to employees celebrating 25 years with the company, valuing their dedication and constant effort. «Our success is due in large part to the loyalty and professionalism of those who have been with us for so many years. Their work is an inspiration to all of us,» said Mateos, who is also celebrating 25 years at Itesal.
