From the magical Rubielos de Mora to the imposing castle of Puertomingalvo, each stop on this route will immerse you in the region’s medieval past.

We begin our route in Rubielos de Mora, a beautiful fortified village that will captivate you with its medieval charm. Although only a wall of the castle remains, the village celebrates every year a medieval weekend, transporting locals and visitors to the twelfth century. Streets full of stores, festivities and crafts of the period will immerse you in a unique atmosphere. In addition, you can enjoy the local gastronomy in restaurants offering typical dishes and visit the historic oven La Tahona, famous for its traditional bread and sweets.

We continue our route to Mora de Rubielos, where its impressive gothic castle-palace awaits us. With 4,000 square meters, this castle has a beautiful central courtyard and all its rooms can be visited. Immerse yourself in the grandeur of its architecture and let yourself be carried away by the history that envelops its walls.

Our next destination takes us to the top of Linares de Mora, a fortified village that offers spectacular panoramic views. Here, the remains of a castle stand as silent witnesses of times past. Contemplate the town and its surroundings from the heights and let yourself be enveloped by the magic of this place.

We continue our journey to Alcalá de la Selva, whose castle of Muslim origin was part of the defensive system of the town. Although there are hardly any remains of its walls, the “keep” divided into three large rooms is still standing, offering a glimpse of the grandeur of the past. Admire the architecture and immerse yourself in the history that permeates this place.
