The Official Language Schools of Aragon have opened the admission process for the 2026-2027 academic year, with a deadline of September 21. The public network offers courses in English, French, German, Italian, Catalan, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish for foreigners, with levels ranging from A1 to C2 and options for in-person, blended, and distance learning.
This announcement follows the previous academic year, during which Aragon’s Official Language Schools registered 9,715 students across their 12 locations and 19 extensions. English continues to be by far the most in-demand language, accounting for over 60% of enrollments.
Admission applications must be submitted electronically through the Government of Aragon’s website and directed to the Official Language School chosen as the first option. The process is open to both new students and those wishing to begin a different language, change schools, or re-enroll after a break in their studies. Students who already possess knowledge of a language can access higher-level courses through the corresponding placement tests.
In general, applicants must be at least 16 years old during the year they begin their studies, although those over 14 may also enroll if they wish to study a language different from their first foreign language in secondary education. If demand exceeds the available spots, the allocation procedure outlined in the call will be conducted. Once the process is resolved, students who secure a place can finalize their enrollment before the classes begin.
Distance English with That’s English!
In addition to the general offerings of the Official Language Schools, the process for That’s English! — the official distance English teaching program — remains open. This modality allows students to study levels A2, B1, B2, and C1 and obtain the corresponding official certifications.
The combination of in-person, blended, and online learning expands access to official language education from various locations across Aragon. The network of schools and extensions also facilitates access to this training outside the three provincial capitals, enabling students to progress in their learning and obtain official certifications without relying solely on private offerings.
