The Adunare Foundation celebrated its 25th anniversary with a gala on June 3, 2025, in Zaragoza, highlighting its continued commitment to social integration and justice.
Since its founding in 2000, Adunare has been active in priority communities such as Oliver, Torrero, and Delicias. The foundation has helped more than 4,000 people annually, supported by 200 professionals and 100 volunteers. Its intervention model covers from childhood to adulthood, ensuring sustained and effective social support.
At the gala, various organizations received recognitions for their collaboration with Adunare. Statues were awarded to La Fundación La Caixa, CaixaBank, and the Zaragoza City Council, underscoring their key role in supporting social initiatives. Additionally, the Association of Former Councilors of Zaragoza was particularly recognized for its dedication to social policies.
The president of Adunare, José Luis Carrera Marcén, mentioned the importance of having forged essential alliances with various institutions while maintaining its advocacy essence. For her part, the Mayor Natalia Chueca highlighted the foundation as a reference point in adapting to social needs. The Aragonese president, Jorge Azcón, also acknowledged Adunare’s contribution to cohesion and improvement of the quality of life in Zaragoza.
The event concluded with a toast and a performance by the Choir Voces de Oliver, which interpreted folk and multicultural pieces, thus celebrating the community spirit and cultural diversity that Adunare has fostered over a quarter of a century.
