The Government of Aragon has awarded the management of 543 public housing units in Parque Goya, Zaragoza, to Metropolitan House BCN Residential S.L. and Genivs Insulae SICC S.A. This project, part of the Aragón Más Vivienda Plan, aims to facilitate access to affordable housing for young people.
Award of Lot 4 in Parque Goya
The concession for 543 public housing units in Parque Goya has been granted to the consortium of companies Metropolitan House and Genivs Insulae. The award, signed by counselor Octavio López, stands out with a score of 97.76 points, surpassing three other bids. This project is part of the largest public housing program by the Government of Aragon in decades, focusing particularly on young people aged 18 to 39. The homes, designated for affordable rent, will be under a 75-year concession, after which they will revert to the Administration.
Projected Timeline for the Works
The construction is expected to begin in the first half of 2027, once administrative procedures are completed and projects approved. Completion is projected for the first half of 2029. This timeline is crucial for meeting the objectives of the Aragón Más Vivienda Plan, increasing the supply of affordable housing in the region.
Nearly 2,300 Housing Units Underway and Distribution by Lots
With the award of Lot 4, the Government of Aragon completes a series of projects totaling nearly 2,300 public housing units. These projects include 608 units in Actur and Valdespartera (Lot 1), 640 in Miralbueno and Rosales del Canal (Lot 2), and 496 in Picarral and Avenida de Cataluña (Lot 3). This public-private partnership initiative aims to facilitate the emancipation of young people, ensuring they do not spend more than 30% of their income on rent, thanks to direct government subsidies.
