The Department of Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragón has launched the Action Sum call for the fifth edition of Aragón Climate Week 2025. The initiative seeks citizen participation in the fight against climate change, with activities scheduled between October and November.
Action Sum Call
The Action Sum initiative encourages institutions, groups, associations, and local entities to contribute activities related to climate change. In previous editions, it has successfully gathered over 200 annual actions distributed throughout the Aragonese geography. Proposals must be registered through the portal https://www.aragoncambioclimatico.es/, where the registration form is available.
The activities integrated through this call will take place between October 11 and November 15, thus expanding the reach of the Aragonese climate week.
The Aragón Climate Week 2025 will be held from October 20 to 26 with the goal of mobilizing Aragonese society in the face of climate change. The opening ceremony will take place on Monday the 20th at the Zaragoza Aquarium, led by Raquel Giménez Acón, Director General of Environmental Education. Events will be distributed across the three provinces of Aragón throughout the week.
Specific Scheduled Activities
The program includes free environmental education options promoted by the Nature Network of Aragón and the Urban Environment Classroom La Calle Indiscreta, aimed at all audiences in different locations within the community.
The ‘Patios for the Climate’ days will continue after gathering over a hundred teachers committed to the naturalization of school environments last year. In Huesca, the air quality monitoring station will be decorated with four graffiti murals. La Alfranca will host the exhibition Climate Emergency, and on Sunday the 26th, the third edition of the comedy festival Ecocomedy will take place.
The event is framed in proximity to the 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), which will be held from November 10 to 21 in Belém (Brazil). This conference will serve as a benchmark for measuring global commitment to the climate emergency.
New activities will be announced in the coming weeks. Registrations for the action sum and confirmations of attendance are available on the official event website.
