The Vice President of the Government of Aragón, Mar Vaquero, highlighted the significant role of the autonomous community in the fashion industry during the inauguration of the Aragón Fashion Week. She emphasized that the region combines innovation, tradition, and sustainability in this sector.

Mar Vaquero stressed that Aragón has a model ecosystem that integrates design, production, and marketing. She specifically pointed out the success of local companies such as La Garbancita Ecológica, which exports 40% of its production to Europe.

The textile and footwear sector in Aragón generates 8,200 direct jobs and represents 6.3% of the regional industrial GDP. Additionally, it hosts 47 certified companies in sustainable production, demonstrating the region’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

The Aragón Fashion Week served as a showcase for 22 local brands, including the launches of spring-summer 2026 collections. The event featured the participation of 15 educational institutions specializing in textile design, cementing it as a meeting point between creativity and industry.
