The Government of Aragón has announced an investment of €355,241.99 to expand the CEIP Sarrión in Teruel. This initiative aims to respond to the increase in student enrollment and improve educational facilities.
Details of the CEIP Sarrión Expansion
The CEIP Sarrión, built in the mid-20th century and expanded in 2016, will see a new expansion that includes the establishment of two early childhood education classrooms on the ground floor, utilizing the existing porch. These classrooms will be equipped with child-sized restrooms to meet the needs of the youngest students. Additionally, a new covered porch will be constructed in the playground, strategically located between the two sports courts, along with a covered walkway that will connect the porch with the main building, enhancing protection against inclement weather.
Bidding Process and Project Execution
The bidding process is already underway, and interested companies can submit their offers until April 17 at 3 PM. Building visits are scheduled for April 8 and 15 so that companies can assess the project on-site. The execution of the works is estimated to take 105 calendar days, according to the technical project developed by architect Miguel Torres. This project not only focuses on physical expansion but also includes rigorous specifications regarding environmental management, workforce maintenance, and planning quality, thus ensuring compatibility with the school calendar.
