The President of the Government of Aragón, Jorge Azcón, presented the expansion project for the Technological Institute of Aragón (ITA) through a new building in the DAT Alierta Technological Park. The initiative aims to establish the community as a European technological reference and is part of the ITA Strategic Plan 2025-2028.
The new building will be a facility of over 5,000 m², with a total investment of 18 million euros. Of that amount, 12 million will be allocated to construction and 6 million to equipment. The presentation event included the participation of the Vice President of the Government of Aragón, Mar Vaquero; the General Director of the ITA, Esther Borao; and the architect responsible for the project, Sergio Sebastián.
The building will be focused on strengthening collaboration with companies and organizations within the innovation ecosystem, increasing projects in areas such as artificial intelligence and robotics.
The space will feature 2,000 m² of open offices for over 200 professionals, companies, and startups working collaboratively. Additionally, it will house more than 3,000 m² of laboratories equipped with cutting-edge technology to develop solutions in artificial intelligence, robotics, connectivity, and communications.
Among its technical features are self-consumption through photovoltaic solar energy, efficient climate control, and the use of low environmental impact materials. It will also integrate an intelligent management system to control lighting, ventilation, and climate control.
