Aragon Opens Registrations for Specific Language Courses
The official language schools of Aragon begin this Friday the admission process for their specific courses, aimed at expanding the educational offer and adapting to new needs in language education. The registration period will remain open until October 14.
This educational offer is doubling for the 2025-2026 academic year, increasing to 58 groups from 29 last year. The specialization courses cover six of the eight languages taught in Aragon: English, French, German, Russian, Chinese, and Italian.
In Zaragoza, the Official School of Languages (EOI) No. 1 offers 14 specialized courses; the EOI Fernando Lázaro Carreter offers seven, one of which is in the Extension of La Puebla de Alfindén; there are five courses at EOI Utebo; three at EOI Calatayud; and one each at EOI Tarazona and EOI Ejea de los Caballeros.
In Huesca, there are seven courses at EOI Barbastro and two more at its extension in Aínsa; six at the EOI of Huesca; five at the EOI of Monzón; and one more at the EOI of Sabiñánigo. In Teruel, the EOI of Alcañiz offers one course, as do the extensions in Utrillas, Calanda, Alcorisa, Andorra, and Valderrobres.
The courses are aimed at both the general public and specific groups: teachers, students in bilingual vocational training cycles, the tourism sector, high school students, and military personnel. The goal is to meet the specific demands of these groups for language certification as well as for the updating or enhancement of linguistic skills.
The format is very flexible, with courses generally of shorter duration, annual or semester-based, taking place one day a week. They are offered in face-to-face mode, online through live videoconferences, and hybrid mode, where students attend class one day and work independently with teacher support on another day.
Specific Themes and Reserved Places
The offer includes courses aimed at obtaining certificates for teachers, especially levels B2 and C1, students in bilingual vocational training for B1 and B2, high school students, and the general population. Courses are also offered to update levels, refine language skills, strengthen oral practice, start learning a new language, and acquire tools for travel.
Notably, there are specific courses for teachers, with a total of 350 places to improve linguistic competence with priority given to teachers in bilingual programs. These courses are free, recognized for training hours, and allow participants to obtain the corresponding certification.
For students in vocational training in bilingual cycles, 190 places are offered to support their training in the B1 and B2 levels of English and French.
Admission Process
To apply for admission, interested individuals should contact each of the schools offering the courses. All information is available on the website of the Official Language Schools of Aragon. Additionally, there are still residual spots in some general courses where applicants with language knowledge can take the online placement test and enroll until all spots are filled.
