Aragon launches digital platform RED-ES to project Aragonese culture
The Government of Aragon, along with the Aragonese Federation of Municipalities, Counties and Provinces (FAMCP) and the National Agency for Sustainable Culture (ANCS), presented the digital platform RED-ES (Platform for Performing and Musical Arts). This free tool will project the Aragonese cultural industry at the national level and facilitate access for Aragonese municipalities to cultural offerings.
Pedro Olloqui, General Director of Culture of the Government of Aragon, Carmelo Pérez, president of FAMCP, and Carlos Castel, president of ANCS, presented the platform at a press conference. Olloqui highlighted that RED-ES constitutes «a showcase that will allow us to promote the Aragonese cultural industry beyond our borders» and will facilitate «access to national circuits» for Aragonese cultural industries.
The platform will «massively» incorporate the cultural industries of the community into national programs and facilitate access for the 731 Aragonese municipalities to cultural industries for programming with an Aragonese identity.
Features and operation of RED-ES
The platform collects proposals from theater, dance, circus, music, oral storytelling, magic, installations, performance, parades, and monologues, among other performing disciplines. Each show includes technical, artistic, and administrative information so that professionals can work more effectively and efficiently.
The user can intuitively consult the origin, format, fee, target audience, duration, technical requirements, themes, and performers. RED-ES functions as a comprehensive and constantly updated database of active shows from all companies, constituting a professional network for the performing and musical arts sector.
Institutional collaboration and scope
Carmelo Pérez indicated that FAMCP is the second federation at the national level to join this project, resulting from the collaboration agreement signed between FAMCP and ANCS on August 4. The tool ensures that any municipality, regardless of its size, has the same opportunities to access professional and high-quality cultural programming.
Carlos Castel defined RED-ES as «the Google of the performing arts» and thanked the Government of Aragon and FAMCP for their commitment to this «universal, free, and unified platform that allows placing the autonomous community on the national map.»
Territorial and social impact
The officials highlighted that institutional cooperation is essential for tools like RED-ES to reach all Aragonese municipalities and serve as a platform for disseminating cultural industries. These initiatives contribute to structuring the territory and combating depopulation, as improving cultural services enhances the quality of life in towns.
