Ten companies from Aragon stood out at a gastronomic showroom held in Paris, where they showcased their gourmet products with protected designation of origin and organic certification. The initiative, significant for the international positioning of these products, was supported by the Chamber of Commerce and the Provincial Council of Teruel.
Aragonese companies set the gastronomic trend in Paris
Participants included prominent producers of DOP Teruel ham, black truffle, extra virgin olive oil, organic wine, and saffron. Notably, six of these Teruel companies received additional funding to enhance their presence in the prestigious Parisian market. The fair offered valuable opportunities to establish connections with French distributors, a market that absorbed 508 million euros in Aragonese agri-food exports during 2024. Although French consumers show a preference for local products, there has been a notable increase in the demand for Aragonese gourmet products.
The Aragonese companies plan to continue their international expansion by participating in scheduled fairs in Zurich, London, and Dublin during June, supported by AREX and the «Aragón Alimentos Nobles» program. These actions reflect a commitment from the producers of Aragon to strengthen their presence in the competitive European gourmet sector.
