From November 12 to 14, 2025, the TechnoPark MotorLand in Alcañiz will host the first National Forum on Industry and Demographic Challenge (FIRD), organized by the PVAI (Promotion of Industrial Areas Association). This event is significant for its focus on combating depopulation and promoting industrial development in affected areas.
Institutional Presentation of the Forum in Alcañiz
The event’s presentation was attended by Mar Paños, General Director of Industrial Promotion and Innovation, the Mayor of Alcañiz Miguel Ángel Estevan, the regional president José Miguel Celma, along with representatives from PVAI. This institutional support is crucial for the implementation of the initiative aimed at entrepreneurs, SMEs, and managers of industrial estates.
The forum aims to create a public-private dialogue space to combat depopulation through industrial strategies. Among its objectives, it seeks to exchange best practices and foster alliances between companies and institutions. Furthermore, it proposes to turn TechnoPark into a benchmark for balanced territorial development, prioritizing digital connectivity and basic services in rural areas.
Participatory Approach to Industrial Revitalization
During the forum, concrete solutions will be addressed to revitalize industrial areas, emphasizing ecological sustainability and the creation of quality jobs. This initiative aligns with the National Strategy against the Demographic Challenge, which includes a series of 130 measures aimed at improving multi-level governance and offering a more promising future to the affected regions.
